Both the ceremony and reception will be held on a grass lawn area overlooking the ocean at Hacienda Pinilla in Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica.
You can fly into Liberia Airport (LIR). There are two main airports in Costa Rica but Liberia is the closest so we do not recommend flying into San Jose Airport (SJO).
Once we collect flight information from our guests, we will be scheduling shuttles from the airport to Hacienda Pinilla Community.
If you plan on exploring during or after the wedding weekend, we would highly recommend renting a car for your own flexibility! You can look into car rentals at Liberia airport.
We will provide transportation to the ceremony if you are staying in a group or in a Hacienda Pinilla villa!
Yes! We have partnered with Hacienda Pinilla to offer several villas that can accommodate large groups. These villas are perfect for families or friends traveling together and provide a comfortable stay close to the venue.
To reserve a villa, please let Ashley or Ryan know so we can send over the options with the special rates.
Yes! We can help facilitate booking and the payment process with the villa owners. Once you’ve selected a villa, we’ll guide you through the payment options and ensure everything is set up smoothly.
March is part of the dry season in Costa Rica, so you can expect warm, sunny days with little to no rain. Temperatures typically range from 75°F to 95°F (24°C to 35°C), with cooler breezes in the evening.
The ceremony and reception will take place in the late afternoon and evening, so it should be cooler and more comfortable by then. However, it may still feel warm, so light, breathable fabrics are recommended for your attire.
Yes, the lawn is flat and well-maintained, making it easy to walk on. However, we recommend wearing wedges, block heels, or flat shoes to ensure comfort.
The ceremony will take place outdoors, so there may be some sun exposure. We suggest bringing sunglasses, and we will have umbrellas provided if needed.
The welcome party attire is casual-chic, for a relaxed tropical setting. For reference - men can wear linen shirts, short-sleeve button-downs, or polos paired with tailored shorts or lightweight pants. Women can opt for sundresses, maxi dresses, or jumpsuits. Feel free to embrace bright colors, tropical prints, or neutral tones to match the beachy vibe!
The attire is beach formal or semi-formal. For example - Men can wear lightweight jackets in lighter colors or materials, paired with dress pants or chinos and a button-down shirt. Women can wear floor length or midi dresses. We recommend avoiding black or dark colors in favor of lighter tones, pastels, or tropical-inspired hues. Most importantly, we want you feel comfortable!
