We realize this is short notice and for that, we apologize. We got engaged in October 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. We didn't want to start planning something just to have it be postponed or canceled. So the wedding sat on the back burner. All of a sudden, it was 2022! We didn't want to wait until '23 to get married and although Randy loves the winter, Ashley refused to get married in the cold. So here we are at September 2022. Again, we understand this is short notice. If other plans have already been made, we understand and hope you can join us on Zoom.
While we would to have all of our friends and family present when we officially say, "I do!" our dream venue has very limited space. Thankfully, it's 2022 and we can still have you virtually attend. We hope you understand.
The reception is located at a venue called Hotel Chantelle. It will be a cocktail party. Seating will be limited. (Plan accordingly footwear-wise!) We will be serving drinks and light bites! Our party is on the rooftop but there is a cover in the event of inclement weather. Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible. It is up 2 flights of stairs. If you need reserved seating, please let us know.
"La Vie En Rose" is the signature song of popular French singer Édith Piaf, written in 1945. It has been covered by many artists such as, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Bette Midler, Donna Summer, Lady Gaga, and Louis Armstrong (Ashley's favorite version....check it out!) It's one of our favorite songs to slow dance to in our living room or kitchen on otherwise uneventful nights. We'll be dancing to it as our first dance, as sung by Ashley's absolute favorite singer in the world, Katie Pynn. It also translates literally to "Life in Pink" but figuratively means looking at life through the best lenses. That's what we have with each other, a way to see the best part of life. We decided to change Rose, to Reis (as in Reiser.) Hence, #LaVieEnReis "Give your heart and soul to me, and life will always be...la vie en rose"
