We met through mutual friends at a comedy show in NYC. There was a man there that was very...persistent in the attempt to gain Ashley's attention. In a moment that changed both their lives forever, Ashley asked Randy to be her fake boyfriend for the night to keep the guy at bay. The fake part didn't last too long.

To celebrate Ashley's new job, we both went to our friend's house for a small dinner celebration. Randy had planned to propose the following day, but it was a beautiful night with friends and he happened to have the ring with him so he seized the day. With a little help from our friends, Randy had our song playing on the deck which was lit with Christmas lights and sparklers. He got down on one knee and without hesitation, she said yes!
