In the spring of 2022, Ashley graduated from Florida State University with dreams of moving to New York City. Before leaving, she spent a few more months in Tallahassee living with one of her good friends, soaking up college life and saving for her next adventure. At the same time, Parker was finishing his second degree at Florida State and deciding between job offers that would take him to either Denver or Jacksonville after graduation. Neither of them knew their plans were about to change. Their story didn't begin with a dating app or a mutual setup. It started the old-fashioned way at Madison Social, one of Florida State's favorite gathering spots. Parker was bartending, and Ashley was there with friends, one of whom worked alongside him. One evening, Ashley looked behind the bar and noticed Parker's bright blue eyes. Parker, busy working, never noticed but Ashley remembered him. A few weeks later, they both ended up at a staff dinner and, by chance, were seated across from each other. What started as a simple conversation quickly turned into hours of talking and laughing. Before the night ended, Parker asked for Ashley's number and invited her on their first date. That November, Parker took Ashley to District 850 for bowling, arcade games, and plenty of friendly competition (Parker still insists he won). Since neither of them wanted the night to end, they decided to try an escape room. The challenge was simple: turn on the lights. Instead, they spent far too long standing in a tiny, completely dark room before finally admitting defeat and calling for help. They laughed the entire way out and before the night was over, they were already planning their next date. The rest came naturally. They officially became a couple on December 2, 2022, moved into their first home together on July 3, 2023, and continued building a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support for one another. Nearly three years later, while standing on the breathtaking Seven Sisters cliffs in Eastbourne, England, overlooking the English Channel, Parker got down on one knee and asked Ashley to spend forever with him.
