It all started on one sunny afternoon in Tampa, FL. Ashley and her friend Danielle came into the UPS Store to get something notarized. There she was, Miss Natasha Lucas standing behind the counter in her black ups shirt, hair just as curly as she wanted it to be and hanging down her back with a big smile. She greeted Ashley and Danielle with "Hello Ladies"! She must have liked what she had seen, or she was just being very polite to her customers that had just walked into the store. Ashley saw Natasha in the store and thought she was very attractive, however, she was shy and in her work uniform so she decided to get the notary done with Danielle and leave the store. When Ashley got to the car, she expressed to Danielle that she thought Natasha was really cute and wanted to leave her number with her. Ashley was typically not shy but there was something special about Natasha that had her stomach fluttering with butterflies. Ashley disliked her handwriting and didn't think it was cute enough so she asked Danielle to write her number down on the UPS receipt and to take it back in and give it to Natasha. Danielle did just that and the rest is HISTORY as they say! Ashley and Natasha went on their first date in Tampa's popular SoHo district for Taco Tuesday. The two hit it off and continued dating each other. Three months into dating, Ashley received orders for an upcoming deployment and was gone for 6 months. While she was deployed, Natasha and her communicated as much as they could via letters, emails and phone calls. When Ashley returned, Natasha and her continued dating and exactly one year from the day they went on their first date, Natasha asked Ashley to be her girlfriend. Ashley said YES and there began the relationship journey for Ashley and Natasha!

2020 was quite a year with the sudden rise in COVID-19 and the Global Pandemic. However, it was also a year of beautiful beginnings. Ashley tested positive for COVID-19 was extremely sick, all while trying to finish her last semester in college. Natasha was able to get her back to good health and she was able to successfully graduate with her Bachelor's. With everything being shut down and travel plans being halted, Ashley was not able to celebrate her graduation with her family and friends. She was turning 30 in October 2020 so she decided to plan a birthday trip to Cape May, NJ. This was one of Natasha's favorite beach spots in New Jersey. We rented a beautiful Airbnb and set out down to the southern tip of New Jersey known as Cape May, NJ. On Ashley's birthday, the group set out for a beach day and sightseeing and finished with a surprise celebration back at the Airbnb. Cousin Chelsea also know as Chef Diva was in the kitchen making a beautiful meal while Aunt Tricia was on Mac & Cheese duty. :) Dinner was served and then we started Karaoke as that is Ashley's FAVORITE thing to do. It was Natasha's turn and she grabbed the mic to Ashley's surprise as Natasha never sings for karaoke. Well Natasha selected "This is Why I Love You" by Major as her song selection. She did not sing the song though. Instead, she played the song and said that she had an announcement to make. Natasha told everyone how much she loved Ashley and that she was her very best friend and then got down on one knee and asked Ashley for her hand in marriage. Ashley said yes and their began the journey to becoming Mrs & Mrs! Be sure to watch the engagement video! :)
