Michael and Ashley met in the ICU - as nurses! Michael was doing a travel contract in Colorado and happened to land a job on the same unit where Ashley had just started working. For about nine months they were just coworkers, navigating long shifts and passing off patient reports. Then, one night the unit went to a Rockies game for team bonding and everything changed. They spent the night laughing and actually getting to know each other. Michael ended the night asking for Ashley's number and a couple weeks later they had their first date at Viewhouse. What was suppose to be a quick meetup turned into a full night of conversation over food and drinks and, as they say- the rest is history!

Michael planned a surprise trip for the two of them to New York City over the holidays. He said that he wanted to go during Christmas time since neither of them had ever been anddd that they could see the Zags play at Madison Square Garden. For those of you that know Michael, this is 100% something he would do. He surprised Ashley not only with pictures in front of the Rockefeller Christmas tree, but also with ice skating. She was so excited for the pictures and skating that it wasn't until he was down on one knee during the pictures that she realized he was proposing!
