Kyle and I met online in late March of 2018. I thought he had the sweetest smile in his pictures, and I loved his thoughtful answers to all the writing prompts! After a few weeks of talking through the app, then a few MORE weeks of texting, I couldn't wait any longer to meet him in person and asked him out to dinner. To my delight, he was just as much of a gentleman as he was online, and he kept me laughing all evening. We quickly planned our second date for the following weekend - this time at the Cleveland Museum of Art. That date will always stand out in my memory as one of the best I have ever been on! Having compared notes since then, we've both agreed that that was the day we both decided that we wanted to be together. The rest, as they say, is history!
Kyle popped the question during a long weekend away to Hocking Hills that we took in early 2021. I am not a person that is easy to surprise, but he managed to surprise me on the first day of our stay by pulling me aside in the kitchen of our cabin, wrapping his arms around me, and giving me this beautiful speech about how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I'll admit that I don't remember all of what he said, mostly because once I realized what was happening I started tearing up and also laughing uncontrollably, but before I knew it, he was on one knee and using my first and middle name (just like they do in the movies) to ask me to marry him. I said yes instantly and haven't stopped gazing lovingly at the ring on my left hand since. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
