When should I RSVP by?

Can I stay at the Valcour Inn and Boathouse?

Answer

At this time, Valcour Inn and Boathouse is reserved for the parents of the bride and groom, grandparents, and our wedding party. Due to space limitations, all rooms are fully booked for those individuals. Please visit the “Travel” tab on our website for a list of nearby hotel accommodations.

Can I bring a date?

We are so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! Due to venue capacity, only those guests whose names are listed on the invitation will be invited to attend. Thank you so much for understanding.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at the Valcour Inn and Boathouse.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 4:00 PM. We kindly ask guests to arrive around 3:30–3:45 PM so everyone can be seated and ready as we begin.

Are kids welcome to attend?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you so much for understanding!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will be offering an open bar with beer, wine, and seltzers during cocktail hour from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. The bar will then reopen from 7:30 to 9:30 PM for another open bar period with beer, wine, and seltzers when the dance floor opens. From 5:30 to 7:30 PM, the bar will be available cash bar style. Guests are also welcome to purchase cocktails and any beverages outside of beer, wine, and seltzers throughout the evening.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi- Formal Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, sun dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, dark jackets, dress shirts, and slacks. Preferably no jeans or shorts.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. Your comfort and safety are important to us. When you RSVP on our website, there will be a section where you can note any food allergies or dietary restrictions so we can share them with our caterer.
