Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We kindly request that guests dress formally, in Black Tie attire or Guayabera Black Tie. We want you to feel elegant and confident as we celebrate this special day. We would love to see vibrant colors, patterns, and textures of gowns to brighten the reception. While black tie or Guayabera black tie attire is encouraged, we understand that personal style and comfort are important, so feel free to interpret the dress code in a way that makes you feel fabulous. Whether it's a guayabera, tux or a glamorous gown, we can't wait to see you dressed to the nines as we dance the night away! Question

What is Guayabera Black Tie?

Answer

The Guayabera is a traditional men's shirt from Latin America, particularly Cuba and Mexico. It typically features four pockets on the front, vertical pleats, and embroidery or decorative elements. For a wedding, the Guayabera shirt might be made of high-quality fabric like linen or cotton and in a solid white color or adorned with subtle patterns and a black bow tie with black dress pants and shoes. In warmer destinations like Mexico, a Guayabera black tie wedding offers a stylish alternative to traditional formal attire. Men can opt for lightweight Guayabera shirts instead of tuxedos, providing comfort in hot climates while still maintaining a sophisticated look. Question

Which airport should I fly into for the wedding?

Answer

Guests should fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). It's the most convenient airport for our wedding location.

Question

How do I get to El Cielo Rooftop at the Fairmont Resort from Banyan Tree Mayakoba?

Answer

Mayakoba, Mexico, is a luxury resort complex home to four world-class resorts, including Banyan Tree Mayakoba, where all wedding events will take place, and Fairmont Mayakoba, which hosts the second room block and the El Cielo Rooftop, where our Welcome Cocktails will be held. To get to El Cielo Rooftop from Banyan Tree Mayakoba: Take a golf cart from your villa to the Banyan Tree lobby. From the lobby, staff will arrange a complimentary transportation service (a private car) to take you to the Fairmont Resort. Upon arrival at the Fairmont, you may either proceed directly to El Cielo Rooftop or take an additional internal resort shuttle, depending on the hotel's logistics that day. Alternatively, if you prefer a scenic route, you can walk along the beach from Banyan Tree to Fairmont Mayakoba, as the resorts are adjacent to each other along the coastline. For additional transportation options or assistance, we recommend checking with the Banyan Tree concierge during your stay.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult-only affair with the exception for immediate family who are apart of our wedding party. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We understand the importance of celebrating with loved ones. If you receive an invitation with a plus one, RSVP for both yourself and your guest. If not, we kindly ask that you attend solo.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held inside or outside?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held inside at El Pueblito Chapel in Mayakoba. For the reception, in the event of inclement weather, we have arrangements in place to ensure a seamless transition to an indoor setting.
