Old Man of Storr
Old Man of Storr Hike Difficulty: Easy to Moderate Duration: ~1.5–2 hours round-trip Why Go: It’s one of Skye’s most iconic landmarks — towering rock pinnacles with sweeping views over the Sound of Raasay. This is incredible, the hike is pretty steep but short!
Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls Viewpoint
(10 min drive from Storr) Quick Stop: A stunning waterfall plunges off cliffs into the sea, with rock formations that look like a kilt. Easy viewpoint access — great for a snack break.
Lealt Falls & Gorge
A quick walk to another dramatic waterfall — easy and photogenic. Quiraing Walk (short version) Difficulty: Easy to Moderate Duration: 1–1.5 hours loop for a short version Why Go: Alien, magical, windswept landscapes — This is a MUST see/do. The walk is super easy, all flat and the views are otherworldly.
Fairy Pools
Difficulty: Easy Duration: ~1.5-hour walk total Why Go: Crystal-clear pools with small waterfalls nestled under the Black Cuillin mountains. This can be really busy so going in the morning is best, it is stunning though, completely worth it!
Talisker Bay Beach
Easy walk (~30 minutes round trip) to a wild, black sand beach with cliffs and a waterfall.
Fairy Glen
Difficulty: Easy, whimsical wandering Why Go: It looks like a fantasy set — tiny green hills, mossy stone circles, and winding paths. Super low effort, maximum charm.
