Question

What is the COVID-19 protocol for the Wedding Weekend?

Answer

The safety of the bride and groom; guests; vendors; and staff is our top priority! As such, everyone attending the wedding weekend must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and provide proof of vaccination with proof of identification. No exceptions will be made. The wedding venue will verify proof of vaccination from all vendors and guests at the door. This can be a photo of your vaccine card (front and back) along with a photo ID; a QR code from the state of California or the state or country that issued the vaccine; the physical CDC vaccination card; or the LA County Covid-19 Healthvana mobile app. For more information on locating a vaccination site near you, please go to https://www.vaccines.gov/ .

Question

Will teens need to show proof of identification with their proof of vaccination?

Answer

No. Teens only need to show proof of vaccination since they will be with their parent/guardian.

Question

Can I arrive at the wedding early?

Answer

Yes. You may arrive at the Ebell as early as 4:30p.m., get checked in, and enjoy the Ebell garden. Please note, traffic in Los Angeles is terrible! Add additional time to your travel plans to ensure on-time arrival. Late arrivals will not gain entry into the venue until the wedding ceremony is completed. If you are late, you will miss the ceremony but will be able to join us and gain access once cocktail hour begins.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Formal Cocktail Attire. Formal Cocktail Attire Guidance: *Men-Suit and Tie is Required. Suggest darker hues like blues, grays, and or black. *Women- Knee-Length or Tea-Length dress. **The temperature will drop in the evening so bring a jacket or shawl if you typically get cold

Question

Are there any wedding rules to be aware of?

Answer

We only request that you show up on time and be ready to share a wonderful day filled with love, laughter, and a lot of fun. OH! And no photos or phones during the wedding ceremony. Our ceremony is very sacred to us and we want to keep it this way. However, you may take photos at our cocktail hour and reception.

Question

IS THERE A SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE HOTEL TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

No, but please check out our Travel & Accommodations page for transportation recommendations. There are also several hotels located within a 15-20 minute drive to the wedding venue.

Question

Are there suggestions for transportation to the wedding?

Answer

We typically use Uber but suggest any of the ride-share companies (Uber, Lyft, Taxi) to get around the city.

Question

Will we be outdoors during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in a garden. Once the sun goes down, the temperature will drop so bring a jacket if you typically get chilly. Note, our evening reception will be indoors.

Question

Is there parking at the Ebell Wedding Venue?

Answer

Yes. Parking is FREE and directly across the street from the venue on South Lucerne Boulevard.

Question

Can I bring a last minute guest with me to the wedding?

Answer

No. Access to the venue will only be granted to those that have rsvp'd and are on our guest list.

Question

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

No, only teens 14+. We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Where is the host hotel?

Answer

The host hotel for the wedding weekend will be the J.W. Marriott, L.A. LIVE (900 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 9001). We will be staying at the hotel all weekend so if you see us walking around, buy us a drink or just give us a hug lol. Please note, we won't be able to answer any specific questions regarding the hotel facilities. For those questions, please reach out to the hotel directly at (213) 765-8600.

Question

Where can the teens go during the Welcome Happy Hour on Thursday, April 14th, since the bar is age 21+?

Answer

In addition to the Hotel Lobby Bar, the JW Marriott has a restaurant in the lobby that is directly next to the bar. From within the lobby bar, there's visibility to the inside of the restaurant and you can see the restaurant's patio. The teens can hang at the restaurant, get dinner, and enjoy the patio together.

Question

Do we have a preference for wedding gifts?

Answer

We do not have a preference and will just be grateful for your thoughtfulness. If you'd like some ideas, check out our registry on our website (www.zola.com/registry/ashley_nigel).
