In the Fall of 2014, Ashley and Nick first met in their freshman college dorm at Central Washington University. Who knew their love of football, country music, and running would make them the best of friends. Even throughout significant life transitions after college, they continued their friendship. After graduation, Nick moved to Tennessee, then to Colorado, and Ashley moved to Seattle. They would often talk and visit each other. Fast forward 5 years after graduation, and Nick asked Ashley on their first date (well, Ashley's friends had to spell it out for her what Nick was asking). In February of 2023, Nick flew from Colorado back to Washington to take Ashley on their first date and even missed watching the Super Bowl that year. If anyone knows Nick, he never misses the Super Bowl. Ashley and Nick knew from that first date that they were each other's one. They spent a year long-distance, and Nick moved back to Washington in March 2024. In June of 2024, Nick got down on one knee at the Edmond's Waterfront and asked Ashley to spend forever with him. With family and friends around, Ashley said yes, and the rest is history.
