Yes! We have set up two different registries. The first registry is through this website and is meant to help us gather funds to help us have a great honeymoon in the beautiful state of Baja California Sur. This registry can be accessed on this website under the "registry" tab. (prices are in US Dollars) We also have a traditional wedding registry at the department store Liverpool. https://mesaderegalos.liverpool.com.mx/milistaderegalos/50057837 (prices are in Mexican Pesos) We are so excited to share our special day with all of you! Thank you so much for your support and love! Love, Ashley & Néstor
Our biggest recommendation is to take a flight from wherever you come from. There are direct flights from many cities among USA and Mexico. The local airport is Aeropuerto Internacional Mariano Escobedo MTY. All airlines that service MTY airport: https://www.aeromexico.com https://www.aa.com http://www.delta.com http://www.interjet.com http://www.united.com http://www.vivaaerobus.com http://www.volaris.com If you plan on driving, google maps can bring you safely here.
Yes, despite of what you could hear or see on the news, this is a very happy and safe town. You can feel comfortable to explore the interesting and beautiful things the city has to offer. As you would do in any other city in the world, be aware of your surroundings.
UBER! Uber is a very easy and convenient way to get all around town. The only exception would be that when arriving to the airport, take one of the airport approved taxis, since uber is not allowed to pick people up from the airport, but you could take an uber on your return trip to the airport.
Have the address of your hotel handy for customs forms and taxis. Safi Royal Valle Garza Av. Diego Rivera 555, Valle Oriente, 66260 San Pedro Garza García, N.L., Mexico

Yes, the tap water is safe to drink, but many travelers still choose to stick to bottled water.
Debit and credit cards are accepted in most places, but its always a good idea to have some cash. You can get Mexican pesos at the airport. There are also change houses (casa de cambio) all over the city. Tip: Call your bank ahead of your trip and advise them that you will be using the card in Mexico during your travel dates, so that they don't flag your card for suspicious activity during your trip.
Its about 20 miles from the airport to the hotel, the trip should take around 30 minutes in taxi.
The hotel and venue are about a mile apart. On the wedding day we will have a shuttle making a loop between the hotel and the venue.
Time to refresh that Spanish you took in high school! Haha. Many people in Monterrey speak English, especially hotel front desk clerks, use them as a resource if you have questions about the area, hailing a taxi, etc. Also, download the Google translate app on your phone, that app is a lot of help.
