So is this a wedding, a party, or what?

Great question! Mathew and Ashley tied the knot officially in a small ceremony at the Santa Barbara courthouse on November 8, 2024. They still want to celebrate with friends and family, so this is an anniversary party instead! The evening will consist of a cocktail hour reception, dinner, and of course - plenty of drinks and dancing!

What's the best way to get to the venue?
Answer
We will be providing shuttle buses for easy transportation to and from the venue. The shuttles will pick up guests at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica, and will return there at the end of the evening. The buses will depart from the Fairmont at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30. Return trips will leave Duke’s at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 PM. You are welcome to drive or take an Uber/Lyft to the venue as well. We recommend budgeting plenty of time, as the Pacific Coast Highway has reduced lanes for construction.

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes, Dukes offers valet parking for $10 per car. Uber/Lyft is also an option, though we'd recommend pre-booking your return trip so you can guarantee getting a driver.

What is the dress code?

Cocktail or semi-formal attire is preferred. But beyond that - wear what makes you feel fabulous!

What will the weather be like?
Answer
The average temperature in November in Malibu is a high of 72 degrees and a low of 52 degrees. The venue is indoors with access to a balcony, but it is right on the ocean and will get chilly when the sun goes down. In short, if you're anything like Ashley, consider bringing a jacket.

Unfortunately, we're limiting this event to those over 21 years old.

Where should I RSVP?
Answer
To save paper (and let's face it--costs), we will not be sending a formal invite or RSVP card in the mail. Please RSVP online no later than October 15, 2025.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, please indicate in your RSVP if you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions, so that we can work with our venue to accommodate.
