FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Kayla or Ashleigh.
Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please find our gift and Honeyfund registry via the "Registry" link above. We are grateful and honored to receive any gifts, however we prefer contributions for our honeymoon through Honeyfund.

Question

What COVID precautions can I expect?

Answer

Out of concern for the health of our friends, family, and community, we request that all guests (as able) are fully vaccinated prior to attending our wedding. We adhere to all requirements and restrictions made by the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, which can be found here: https://www.lewisginter.org/visit-planner/ Our ceremony and reception are both outdoors, with the exception of restrooms and the buffet table being located inside the adjacent Bloemendaal House. Please note that in the event of heavy rain, the side-walls of the tent will be down and enclosed. At this time we are not requiring masks to be worn while outdoors, but encourage guests to wear a mask if more comfortable.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Your children are welcome at our wedding! Please ensure that your child is included in your RSVP, otherwise reach out to Ashleigh or Kayla directly so that we know to include your child in our head count. Kids meals will be provided, and Kayla has bravely volunteered to take the lead in the Chicken Dance during the reception.

Question

Is the venue accessible?

Answer

Once guests enter the Botanical Gardens, it is a 5-10 minute walk from the entrance to our ceremony at the Bloemendaal House. For our guests with accessibility needs, there is a service road leading directly to the Bloemendaal House for drop-offs. Please inquire with Ashleigh or Kayla for more info if needed. Wheelchairs are also available to borrow from the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. All walkways are accessible via wheelchair, and there are ramps wherever there may be stairs. For more details on accessibility, please see: https://www.lewisginter.org/visit/accessibility/

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:00PM. Please allow time for a 5-10 minute walk from the Botanical Gardens entrance and parking lot to the ceremony location. Signage will direct guests to the proper location.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, free parking is available on site. Use Parking Lot "A" when arriving. Please note that there is a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot/entrance to our ceremony location (Bloemendaal House).
