After a month of walks, talks and spending time together, Jon finally worked up the courage to ask Ashleigh out on a real date. Not a minute later, Ashleigh started in on the questioning. She’s a journalist and, to be honest, Jon was used to her questioning after being drilled with a camera in his face January 10, 2017, when Ashleigh first met Jon on a ride along for work. On their first date, Jon whisked Ashleigh up the mountain and they had dinner at Arrowhead Lodge. Afterward, he pulled off at Sand Turn, grabbed a blanket and Ashleigh’s favorite Irish cider he’d stowed away, and settled in on a hard concrete slab to watch the sunset. Again, Ash dug deep and made him answer the 34 questions included in the New York Times Love Test. Nearly a year later, Jon once again whisked his now-girlfriend up the mountain on an impromptu date to none other than Arrowhead Lodge. After dinner, a familiar swerve into Sand Turn, blanket and ciders in tow, Jon led Ash through snow to that same concrete slab overlooking the towns below with the sun setting. This time, instead of Ash asking 1,000 questions, Jon simply asked one question — Will you marry me? Without a second of hesitation, Ashleigh said YES! and the two watched the sunset, drinking cider and cuddling under the same blanket they had April 21, 2018. Now, we are overjoyed to share the blessings God has bestowed upon us with all of YOU! Saddle up, you’re heading to Sheridan June 29, 2019!
