What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal. For women, we recommend wearing a dress or a nice top with pants. For men, we recommend wearing a nice top with pants.

Are there any colors or styles I should avoid?

Answer

We kindly request guests to avoid wearing the color white. As for style, we kindly request you please avoid wearing t-shirts, jeans, shorts, athletic shoes and flip-flops.

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

Kansas City weather can be hard to predict, especially in October. You can expect the temperature to be anywhere between the low 60s to the high 80s. We recommend watching the weather closer to the wedding date so you can dress accordingly.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless specifically stated on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion, with the exception of the little ones in our immediate family. We hope this advanced notice means you are still able to attend our big day and will enjoy having the evening off. Thank you for understanding.

Yes- you can use both an online RSVP service and traditional response cards.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

Our venue is off of interstate-470 and route 78. We recommend using one of these major highways to get to & from our wedding venue.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Our venue has a private parking lot for wedding guests.

Will your ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Weather permitting, we will be having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. Please dress accordingly.

Have your reserved blocks or rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We do not have enough guests coming in from out of town to reserve a block of rooms. However, we highly recommend Stoney Creek Hotel in Independence, Missouri & the Drury Inn in Independence, Missouri if you're looking for a place to stay.

The memories will be priceless-- but the drinks won't be. Please bring cash or a card to enjoy the bar service.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

We kindly requests guests to please bring any physical gifts to the bridal shower or ship them to our home. We will have a card box at our reception.

What is the wedding day itinerary?

330 pm - guest arrival begins 4 pm - ceremony begins 6 pm- reception begins 11 pm - send off

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request you to pease arrive no later than 345 pm. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4 pm. Any guests arriving after 350 pm will no be guaranteed a seat. Thank you for cooperating.

Is there a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony will end around 530 pm. We will have a 30-minute gap following our ceremony. Our reception will begin at 6 pm.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Our reception will end promptly at 11 pm. Because of it being a work night for most of our guests, we will not be having an after-party.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

In an effort to keep the ceremony intimate and special, we kindly ask you to please not take any photos or videos during our ceremony. We have a photographer present and will be happy to share the content they capture after the wedding. As for the reception, you're welcome to take as many photos and videos as you'd like. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
