Best Man
Dr. Michael Springer is the brother of Nicholas Springer, and they grew up very close. Moving across the country together, they grew up playing games together like Lego and video games. Nick and Mike enjoy playing the card game Magic the Gathering together as well. Nick is jealous of Mike’s incredible skill at winning board games. Nick and Mike had make-believe characters for each other when they were little named “Scooter and Earl”. Later in life, Mike went on to become a Doctor and Nick couldn’t be more proud of him. Nick couldn’t ask for a more amazing, caring, and talented brother.
Steven Springer
Officiant
Steve is the father of the groom. He is a a man who is defined by the fact that his heart is actually bigger than his muscles. Steve had a long and distinguished career serving with the US military as an Army Ranger, and later provided care to recovering soldiers at Walter Reed AMC. He passed down his love of nature, video games, moral values, and good taste in Rock & Roll to his son. He continues to serve as an amazing role model for Nicholas, and the bride and groom are honored to have Steve serve as officiant.
Amanda
Matron of Honor
Ashlee and Amanda have been best friends for over 15 years (17 years to be exact!). Ashlee got hired at a children's tumble gym in Norfolk, VA where Amanda was already working and they had worked a few shifts together. She then invited Amanda out for her 21st birthday and it was all uphill from there! From countless beach days, rooftop sunbathing, being roomies, running their first half marathon together and even babysitting the same families, there was nothing they wouldn't be found doing together! They even became well known at their local Mexican restaurant where the chips and margs hated to see them coming! Their friendship has weathered all stages of life and all the ups and downs, including her in this next "up" of life just makes sense!
Olive
Flower Girl
There is no cuter Flower Girl than Olive! Olive is the sweet daughter of Ashlee's co-worker Kim, who also became one of Ashlee's first friends when she moved to the Northern Virginia area. Kim was a voice of reason as Ashlee shared some of the...unique....dating experiences she went through before meeting Nick and even though she wasn't born yet, Olive also heard all of the tea! (And likely had her own opinions about what she heard!). It's only right that she holds title and Ashlee, also affectionately known to Olive as Tita, and Nick are honored to have her as their Flower Girl!
