Flathead Raft Company does guided white water rafting trips on the Flathead River. This is one of our favorite activities that we would recommend if you’re looking for some adventure. The trip includes Class II and III rapids including the famous Buffalo Rapids of the lower Flathead River, the biggest, most consistent whitewater on the warmest river in the state. Please let us know if you would be interested in a group rafting trip; we would be happy to arrange!
Polson Bay Golf Course has twenty-seven breathtaking holes that boast spectacular lake and mountain views and comprise the only golf course with fairways adjacent to the shores of Flathead Lake. Always in immaculate condition, you’re going to want to hit the links (a few times).
40-45 min drive north of the Finley Point, also accessible by boat. There are art galleries, local shops, bars, and restaurants.
Cute theater that puts on small productions every summer.
Rent a bike for the day and take a ride down the Swan River! Stop at Echo Lake Cafe for a good meal.
Lakeside is a great place to stop and tie up the boat! Traveling by boat from Polson can take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on weather and time you take to sight-see. 40 min by car. Try Tamarack Brewery for lunch (get the blue cheese fries)! While there, you can walk around town and explore the local shops. If interested in a fishing charter, there are several in the Lakeside area.
This is another wonderful town full of local shops, galleries, and restaurants. Try Ciao Mambo for a delicious Italian meal!
We recommend taking the gondola up Big Mountain to get stunning views of Whitefish Lake, the Flathead Valley, and Glacier National Park on the ride to the summit. There are also fun zip line tours that we have done several times.
Lovely café in Polson owned by a local Italian family.
