We're Getting married!

We met in high school, but can’t necessarily say that we’re high school sweethearts. We shared a trigonometry class, barely spoke, and then life did what it does best… sent us in different directions. Ashlan moved to North Carolina, Jacob stayed behind, and the timing just wasn’t quite right. A few years (and a little growing up) later, we reconnected. One message led to a date at Fun Acre, where Ashlan absolutely dominated mini golf to Jacob's admiration and surprise. ;) From there, life continued to pull us in different directions - Boston, Springfield, Charlotte - but somehow we kept finding our way back to each other. That December, we went to Silver Dollar City for what we like to call our second “first date,” and everything clicked. Maybe it was the Christmas lights, maybe it was our shared love of roller coasters, or maybe it was just finally the right time, but from that night on, we were all in. We spent the next 2.5 years doing long distance, powered by endless calls, texts, and a lot of miles on our cars. In 2020, Jacob moved to Kansas City, and for the first time, we were in the same place. Over the last seven years, our sense of humor has merged, our love has deepened, and and we’ve grown up together in the best possible way. We’ve always known it was forever, now we’re just making it official. We are so excited for you all to join us in celebrating our love for each other.
