What is the history of the venue?

Answer

The GA Freight Depot was opened in 1869 and was the main depot for the Georgia Railroad. It is the oldest building still standing in downtown Atlanta. It was designed by the architects, Corput and Bass. They also contributed to a number of other building during the rebuilding and recovery from the Civil War. Originally, the Georgia Freight Depot stood three stories high until a fire destroyed its upper two floors. In 1981 the State of Georgia restored the structure and converted it into a entertaining space. For more information visit railga.com

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception site?

Answer

Yes. However, due to the venue being in the middle of the city, there will be a limited number of parking places. We suggest you take an Uber or Lyft if possible. For those that decide to drive and park, please use the below address to get to the nearest parking lot: 33 Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30334 Please note: There is a nominal fee to park.
