FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We adore your children, but we decided to keep our wedding and reception as an adults-only event. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is black-tie formal. Ladies should wear floor-length gowns/dresses. Gentlemen should wear a tux/suit. Summer colors are encouraged but not required. The ceremony and reception will be held on the grass, so wear shoes you feel comfortable walking in.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive around 4:30 PM to ensure you have plenty of time to find your seat and get settled before we begin.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, but the reception will be held under a tent. Waimea can get a bit chilly in the evening, so guests should bring a shawl or light jacket to stay warm.

Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Waimea is approximately a one-hour drive from Kailua-Kona, so we recommend allowing plenty of travel time. We suggest driving (via rental car, Turo, or carpooling), as rideshare services can be limited and unreliable on the island. There will be no alcohol served at the wedding, so driving is a great option. Plenty of parking will be available at the venue.
