The Valle is best known for its incredible wineries—many are small, family-owned, and beautifully designed. You can spend a full day (or two!) hopping between vineyards and tasting rooms. Reservations are recommended for most wineries. You can book a tasting at El Cielo by contacting their concierge. Some of our other favorite wineries are Encuentro Guadalupe and Bruma.
The Valle has become a world-class food destination with farm-to-table restaurants and outdoor dining experiences. Some of our favorites include Solar Fortun (get the tacos de canasta), Fauna, the restaurant at Encuentro de Guadalupe, and Umbra at Imanha (though you'll get a taste of Imanha's food at the wedding ;)) Also recommend a casual lunch at the winery or dinner at Latitud 32 at El Cielo Resort!
If you’re feeling adventurous, there are options like horseback riding or golf carting through vineyards, olive oil tastings, and/or scenic hikes. We recommend booking through El Cielo reception. The coastal town of Ensenada is about 20 minutes away, offering some beach time, waves and fish tacos! All of our recommended hotels also offer lovely pool areas (you'll probably catch us here before the welcome party).
