Some love stories begin with a grand gesture or a chance encounter in a faraway place. Ours began with a sparkly headband and a party. It was June 2015 when we met through a mutual friend. Trevor swears he'll never forget that night partly because Ashley was rocking a glittering headband and from the moment we met, being together felt effortless. Ashley’s first impression.. Trevor was incredibly cute, so fun to be around, he was a pro skier, which obviously made him 10 times hotter. Trevor, on the other hand, was instantly drawn to Ashley’s energy, her laugh, and the way she lit up every room. Two nineteen-year-olds with no idea they had just met the love of their life. The early days of our relationship were filled with adventure, laughter, and spontaneity. We spent every moment we could together partying, making adventure videos, and surrounding ourselves with friends. After seven months of inseparable fun, Trevor finally made it official. Over the years, our love took us on countless adventures from spontaneous road trips and après-ski drinks in the mountains to our first big trip together in Steamboat Colorado. Ash got a crash course in Trevor’s world, cheering him on at ski Nationals, making memories that last forever. Another adventure came when Ashley moved to Maui for six months. Trev joined her for a month. We swam with sea turtles, chased waterfalls, and fell in love with island life. It deepened our bond and sparked a lifelong love for Hawaii, a place we still return to as often as possible. Some of our favorite memories are the simple ones—curled up on the couch watching The Office for the 100th time, watching Harry Potter and Star Wars and all the Disney movies (which Trevor forced Ashley to love, and now she might love them more than he does… don’t tell him), and ending our days with a glass of wine at the lake, watching the sunset with our best friend, Dwight. Speaking of Dwight Our sweet, spoiled, hilarious dog came into our lives at just the right time. He became our adventure buddy, our cuddle companion, and, of course, an Insta model. From playing in the meadow to soaking up the sun at Sunnyside, Dwight has been with us for every adventure whether it’s a last-minute camping trip or a lazy morning in bed. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that Dwight was always meant to be our dog, and we were always meant to be his humans. After nine years, a lifetime of adventures, and one very spoiled dog, Trevor finally decided it was time to pop the question. He secretly planned, saving for the perfect ring and waiting for the perfect moment. Ashley always swore Trevor would never be able to surprise her. On a fall day Nikki and Hanna convinced Ashley to come to the meadow for cute sister pictures. As the golden aspen trees swayed, Trevor snuck the ring into his pocket and as Ashley turned around, she read the words on Dwight’s bandana “My humans are getting married.” Before she could even process what was happening, she turned to see Trevor on one knee. For the first time in her life, Ashley was speechless. Through happy tears, she said yes!! The surprises weren’t over. Ashley reached for her phone to call her family, Trevor stopped her. “Your dad’s out hunting, and your mom’s at work,” Confused, she agreed to head to Sunnyside for some more photos by the lake. But when we walked in, our closest friends and family were waiting, yelling “Surprise!” with champagne in hand, ready to celebrate. It was perfect. Nine years, countless adventures, and one incredibly spoiled dog later, we are finally becoming husband and wife. We’ve spent our entire twenties growing together Our love is built on friendship, trust, and the belief that no matter where life takes us, we will always find our way back to each other. As we step into this next chapter, We cannot wait to celebrate with all the people who have been part of our journey and to start this next adventure as husband and wife
