Please RSVP by May 1st
The ceremony will begin at 2pm.
Suggested "elevated beach" attire - think sundresses, button down shirts and khakis, etc. Please be aware that in May the weather can be unpredictable and this wedding + reception will be held outdoors. We will be under a pavilion so we will be sheltered in case it rains (or snows!) but there's a chance it may be windy and chilly. We hope that this won't be the case but if it is we have plans to rent space heaters and have blankets available to try to keep the space comfortable. That in mind, please bring layers! And regardless of the weather, we advise wearing shoes that will be appropriate for sand, or just kick off your shoes altogether and go barefoot :) Historically, in mid-May the temperatures have been anywhere from in the low 50s to high 70s during the day. It could be sunny and clear, or cloudy and raining or snowing, or even all of the above in the span of a single day.
We have tried to include all known significant others when we addressed the save the dates, so please reach out to us if you'd like a plus one and we'll accommodate as best we can :) (the venue has a set limit on number of guests so we just need to keep track of our total)
We encourage booking a room at the Forest Suites Resort, which is where the bride and groom will be staying and where we will be hosting a meet and greet event Friday evening. This is a great option since it is within walking distance of hiking trails, Safeway, restaurants, and the lake, and is only a 10 minute drive to Nevada beach where the wedding and reception will be held. Additionally, Forest Suites has offered us a discounted rate on suites for our guests, which will automatically be applied if you click the "View" button underneath the Forest Suites section located in the "Travel" page. Of course there are many other hotel and motel options in S. Lake Tahoe; for the sake of convenience and proximity we recommend booking lodging in the Stateline area. Our other recommendation for a less expensive/more adventurous option is to book a campsite right on Nevada Beach, you can't get any closer to the venue than that!
Yes, there is parking at the beach- the closest parking is $10 but there is also free street parking about a quarter mile walk away from the beach.
No, you will have to drive to the beach, but we encourage carpooling as much as possible and we can help coordinate carpooling on the day of. Nevada Beach is about a 10 minute drive from Stateline.
Please see the "Schedule" tab for information regarding events :)
