Liberia

Liberia International Airport (LIR) is the closest airport. It is approximately 30 mins from Hyatt Andaz, Airport shuttles are included on peak arrival and departure dates. (We believe this will be Wednesday and Sunday, but will need everyone's flights to determine). San Jose International Airport (SJO) is another option. It is approximately 3 hours from the Hyatt Andaz if you decide to explore southern Costa Rica.

IMPORTANT | COVID-19 COSTA RICA TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION

Costa Rica is requiring travel insurance to ensure a safe trip and return back to the US. The minimum requirements include $50,000 of health insurance coverage and $2,000 travel and lodging insurance. The health insurance is to ensure medical coverage in case of needing treatment due to Covid-19. The travel and lodging insurance covers each patron in case they contract Covid-19 while in Costa Rica and are be required to quarantine for 10-14 days. The insurance will cover your accommodations for the additional nights due to Covid. We have 3 companies we would recommend to ensure you are fully covered during your trip. See below for information and how to book your travel insurance. It is recommended to book your insurance 48 hours before your flight. You will be asked for it as you board the plane exiting the US. If you don't you will have an option to purchase at the airport at customs, but this will be more expensive

IMPORTANT | COVID- 19 TRAVEL INFORMATION BACK TO UNITED STATES

The CDC is now requiring a negative covid test to return back to the US. You must have a negative covid test within 72 hours prior to your departing flight from Costa Rica OR have a doctors note stating you have recovered from covid within 90 days. The Hyatt Andaz Costa Rica is offering covid tests daily for $140. covid tests are complimentary for any guests stay for 6+ nights at the resort. Some insurances will cover the whole test or a portion of it. Please call your providers to check your coverage.
