How Did This Happen?

We decided to do elope for a few reasons (see FAQ tab). Once we both agreed to it, I literally googled "elopement" and came across a company that helps you elope in different places. That was a good start, but I wanted to be more hands on and actually pick my photographer and makeup artist. So my Google search then led me down the "adventure elopement" path, which is how I came across Cara from Wild Earth Weddings. After a phone consultation between her and Jeremy and myself, we booked her for a "half-day" package. She sent us questionnaires to get to know us and find out the things we like. When it came to location, I remember putting down "something along the lines of Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones." She got back to us with a handful of locations that she scouted, and we settled on Short Sands Trail (1.2 miles) to Short Sands Beach, followed by Elk Flats Trail to a cliff overlook to say our vows (616 ft elevation), and then Arcadia Beach for more photos and our first dance.

The tide came in and I couldn't run away in time so my skirt got a bit wet and, in his haste, Jeremy stepped on a dead jellyfish! All part of the experience!
