Question

What is the Minnu?

Answer

The Minnu is a small gold pendant bearing a cross that is tied around the bride's neck during the ceremony. Similar to a wedding ring, it serves as a visible symbol of the marriage covenant and the couple's commitment to one another and to God.

Question

What is the significance of the seven threads?

Answer

The Minnu is traditionally tied using seven threads taken from the bride's wedding sari. In Christianity, the number seven often symbolizes completeness and God's perfect work.
