It was fourth year of optometry school in 2020, a time where our world became virtual and we spent more time scrolling on Instagram and socializing on zoom calls rather than in-person hang outs. Arzoo and Khalil had both started their clinical rotations at their respective schools with Arzoo being in San Antonio and Khalil being in Miami. It was one random day where Arzoo saw a picture of Khalil dressed in his ceil blue figs scrubs in her friend's instagram story. She decided to message her friend saying "He's cute, is he single? " and the rest is history. Between their mutual friend playing an exceptional role of Cupid and Khalil's frequent fire emojis via Instagram DM, what Arzoo thought was just a small crush turned into facetime calls that lasted hours as they started to imagine a life together. From then to now, Arzoo has changed Khalil's entire wardrobe while becoming his personal stylist. Khalil has educated Arzoo on all things sports (especially hockey). In their limited time together, Arzoo has been to more Oilers games than she had ever imagined. Being thousands of miles apart didn't stop them from frequently travelling to visit one another while creating amazing memories together. They are both so excited to live in the same city soon and start their married life together in Dallas, TX.
