We met online in November, both in a season of reflection, healing, and hope. What began with curiosity quickly turned into long conversations, long walks, shared values, and more laughter than we expected. Yes—our love story has moved quickly. But it has been intentional every step of the way. We've done the work—literally—through relationship workbooks, hard conversations, cultural and spiritual learning, and even pre-marital therapy. Our love has been a shared becoming, not a destination. We’re a little bit kimchi and chai, an ocean breeze before taking flight, healing and hard questions. Somewhere between the deep and the sky, we found home in one another. One of us is a Black and Korean American Christian mermaid raised by the sea; the other, a Pakistani Pashtun Muslim poet who runs off cliffs to soar. Somehow—between faith, food, and a shared love of travel, nature, and social good—we found our rhythm. We’re grounded in joy, fueled by purpose, and dancing through life together—with hearts open and passports ready. We’re eloping in a way that feels true to us: small, soulful, and sacred. But this is just the beginning. We’re planning a larger celebration in the future and can’t wait to dance, laugh, and celebrate with you all. For now, thank you for being part of this intimate beginning. Your presence and support—whether in person or from afar—means the world to us.
