How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

The reception will be at Nevill Holt, about a 10–15 minute drive from Uppingham Church. Guests will need to make their own way — by car or taxi. Parking is available overnight at Nevill Holt, but you’ll need to arrange a taxi home at the end of the night.

Is there parking at the venues?

Answer

Yes! There are public car parks close to Uppingham Church, just a short walk away. At Nevill Holt, you can park overnight, so no need to worry about collecting your car until the next day.

What time should I arrive at the church?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive at Uppingham Church 30 minutes before the ceremony to get seated and settled.

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

There are plenty of great options nearby — from charming countryside inns and cozy B&Bs to hotels with all the amenities. If you’d prefer a bit more space, there are also lots of lovely Airbnbs and private rentals in the Rutland area. We recommend booking early, as local spots can fill up quickly on summer weekends.
