In August of 2014, Erin started working at Apple after her good friends, Kim and Jared, referred her. That same month, she crossed paths with Nat for the first time when he introduced himself at The Hideout — the go-to bar for Apple employees after work. The Hideout was especially popular on Wing Night due to 50 cent wings, and since Nat also worked at Apple, he was basically the King of Wing Night. The night Erin and Nat met, Erin was a bit more reserved — and according to Nat, maybe not the friendliest. (He might’ve used a different word…) Fast forward about nine months. Erin, newly single, followed Nat on Instagram and added him on Facebook. Not long after, she was out with friends on Rainey Street for Sunday brunch when a Facebook message from Nat popped up: “Hey. I do not have your number.” She replied, “Hey, here it is. ####### text me.” And from that moment, they never stopped texting. By the end of that summer — on July 19, 2015, in Houston — Nat asked Erin to be his girlfriend.
