Man of Honor
Lauren and I first met in nursing school. It wasn’t until halfway through the program where the story of our friendship began. If you ask Lauren where our bond began, it was after a stressful quarter of nursing school and some tequila. Ever since then it has been a 10+ years of friendship, where I can truly say “I have a best friend.” I am so grateful to be able to share this wonderful moment in her life to celebrate this new chapter she is taking with her partner. I wish Lauren and Mike nothing but the best because they both deserve the world!
Best Man
If you’re wondering how long I’ve known the future husband, the answer is: a very, very long time. Our origin story goes back to the ancient era known as first grade. We were never enemies. We simply belonged to… separate kingdoms. Different circles. Different lunch tables. We coexisted peacefully — two nations with a treaty of polite acknowledgment and zero interaction. Then came high school, where the historical records get… unreliable. Legend says it involved music. Rumor has it we both played guitar and discovered this like scholars uncovering an ancient scroll. Can I confirm that? No. Can I deny it? Also no. What I can confirm is that an alliance was formed. Not just a friendship — a council. We called it The Iron Table. Four legs. Strong. Stable. Unbreakable. Until one day, in a plot twist no one saw coming, one member exiled the other three. And just like that… the Iron Table became the Iron Stool. Three legs. Slightly less stable. Much more legendary. Through all of it — kingdoms, myths, and furniture rebranding — we’ve just been friends. No drama. Just years of life and the quiet realization that this wasn’t just friendship. It was brotherhood. And now the story has a better chapter — the one where he met you and upgraded his life beyond anything the Iron Table… or Stool… could’ve predicted. After knowing him since the era of separate kingdoms, I can say this: he found someone truly special. And for once, the legend gets a happy ending.
Maid of Honor
Hula brought us together almost 10 years ago and we’ve been besties ever since. When hula became challenging and stressful, we found solace in each other’s company. During practice, we would always try dancing in the back row, and hated it when our Kumu moved us to the front. It was like our little inside joke. Apart from hula, we somehow became foodies. I honestly don’t know how that even started. We’d have monthly food adventures to different restaurants. Oh yeah, let me not forget our attempt at a virtual book club during Covid that lasted only one book. But hey, it was a long book that we eventually finished lol. These are just a few memories I share with Lauren, among many others. I am so honored to be her Maid of Honor and grateful to share this special day with her.

My guy Mike and I met few years ago in 2022 at my wedding actually. My wife's best friend or “bestie” (Lauren) as she would say was a bridesmaid in our wedding and Mike was her plus 1 guest. At the time it was really busy, so we didn’t really meet till the reception and let me tell you right off the bat this guy is 1 of the coolest, nicest, and funniest I ever met. Never a dull moment with Mike. His jokes are endless, and before we knew it a friendship was formed. 4 years later now Michael is getting married to his forever partner (Lauren) and I’m honored to be a part of this special moment. I’m more than excited and happy for the both of you, you both deserve nothing but the BEST!

Lauren and I met at while working at Fred Hutch. We grew even closer when I pulled her into an opportunity to work with the Seahawks together. We’ve been through tears and stress together, but also happiness and have made many many memories together. It’s been 8 years of friendship and I am so grateful to know that Michael will be her forever person.

Mike and I met in 10th grade at South Miami Senior High in Literature class. I remember noticing he had a portable CD player — which back then was basically the AirPods of our time. Naturally, I was intrigued. I kept pestering him to let me borrow it, and he’d just laugh, probably thinking I was crazy for asking to borrow his only CD player. But I was persistent. We quickly bonded over music and video games, and once we realized we had almost identical taste in both, it was game over. We started hanging out outside of school to play, listen to music, and talk for hours about everything and nothing. I’ll never forget when he introduced me to Deftones — still my favorite band to this day — along with Incubus, Staind, Alter Bridge, and other early 2000s alt-rock staples. Those soundtracks became the backdrop of our teenage years. We played everything: NBA Live, Super Smash Bros., Need for Speed… even The Sims. Yes, The Sims. We won’t get into that. Some memories are best left between brothers. Before we knew it, we weren’t just friends — we were brothers from another mother. Through every transition life has thrown our way, that bond never changed. Seeing him marry the love of his life — his new best friend — brings me so much joy. After all these years, it means everything to watch him step into this next chapter with someone who truly complements him. I love you, brother. May God bless you, Lauren, and your future family abundantly for the rest of your lives together.

Marie has and has also known Mike for a smaller amount of time. She is so happy to celebrate their love!!!!!!

I am Lauren’s best brother, today and forever. I’ve watched her grow into someone strong, thoughtful, and full of heart. The more I’ve gotten to know Michael, the more I respect the way he shows up for Lauren. He makes her laugh, understands her quirks, and has a patience for her that took me years to build. I couldn’t be happier to stand with Michael as they celebrate their big day. Welcome to the fam, bro.

I’m so lucky to have an amazing cousin like Lauren! My first memories with her was when she would babysit my siblings and I and take us out to holo holo. This is when she first introduced us to fine dining: The Cheesecake Factory! Over the years, I’ve always admired her dedication and perseverance throughout her career. I am so proud of all her accomplishments. I am so grateful to be a part of Lauren and Michael’s special day! Love them both!

I met Auntie Lauren when I was about four, and she kinda helped raise me in our old halau. When I was little and didn't know how to write or memorize things very well, she would help me with my notes and practice with me all the time. She was always patient and caring with me, and always looked out for me. When I trained for competition, she helped me with my chanting, taking notes, and making sure to keep my fingers together. And she always made sure I was having fun. She's always looked out for me. And we both love boba, nice pens, stickers, Hello Kitty, kawaii and chibi things, and puppies!
