Puerto Vallarta International Airport is located approximately 45 minutes from the town of Sayulita. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION Uber is more accessible from the airport to Sayulita, than vice versa, and it costs approximately $380 MXN (~$20 USD) each way. Arlene's parents are from Nayarit, Mexico, and she wanted to share the beauty of this region with our guests. Sayulita is a convenient trip from the Puerto Vallarta airport. It is slightly less touristy than Puerto Vallarta but still very English-friendly. The town is small and easy to walk, and it offers many lodging options including hotels, hostels, vacation rentals, airbnb, and beachfront camping. We had a perfectly good stay at an airbnb during our visit. There are fancier hotels in Punta Mita and other nearby towns. High season in Sayulita is from November through May.
