Raksha
Nishtha's Mother
Raksha is an entrepreneur-turned-engineer-turned entrepreneur who currently runs her own business as a professional artist and art teacher. She designs dresses for her granddaughters, participates in every charity event that she comes across, and loves to spoil anyone who comes to her house with delicious Indian food, typically served in at least four courses.
Ranga
Arjun's Mother
Ranga (a.k.a. Babu) worked in medical research and is now searching for her true calling. She loves tending to the tropical plants in her backyard and experimenting with painting techniques. She is the only person patient enough to answer all of Nishant's questions about animals.
Amrit
Nishtha's Father
Amrit is an avid techie in career and life and can network all the devices in any house to one remote control and four routers. He enjoys volunteering, woodworking, playing tabla, and racing alongside his granddaughters as they ride their bikes.
Srini
Arjun's Father
Srini (a.k.a Cheenu) is the Vasan family historian and has documented hundreds of family memories over the years (He is the guy with the camera). He enjoys tennis, plays the harmonica, and is Nishant and Sophie's best friend.
Agya
Nishtha's Sister
Agya works for a tech start-up in Boston. Her hobbies include writing children's books, making ice cream, keeping up with the latest Bollywood gossip, and testing every anti-aging face cream available at Sephora.
Ashwin
Arjun's Brother
Ashwin works remotely as a management consultant and was into working from home and not seeing other people before it was cool. His hobbies include packaging and returning online shopping orders, being an assistant to the Montessori trainee, and occasionally leaving the house.
Salil
Nishtha's Brother-in-Law
Salil is a scientist working on various scientific ventures. His hobbies include science and, in his spare time, he enjoys reading about and discussing science.
Liz
Arjun's Sister-in-Law
Formerly a lawyer, Liz now runs a full-time online preschool for two and is involuntarily being trained to be a Montessori teacher. Her hobbies include shopping online, making smoothies because there is no time for meals, and being a part-time carnival operator, having bought a bouncy house and other backyard toys before hand sanitizer last March.
Vani
Nishtha's Niece
7-year old Vani is an avid builder, a huge Harry Potter fan eagerly waiting for her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, and Kashi’s best friend. She enjoys being in charge and giving hugs.
Nishant
Arjun's Nephew
Almost 6 years old, Nishant is a defender and champion of all animals, especially predators. He is an expert jumper and bouncer and survives proudly on a diet solely of cheese pizza.
Kashi
Nishtha's Niece
Kashi, who just turned 5 years old, is a proud new kindergarten student. She enjoys creating drama (theatrical and personal), playing mermaids with her sister, and getting her way.
Sophie
Arjun's Niece
Sophie is almost 4 years old! She plans to be an astronaut-doctor-artist. Her favorite activity is keeping up with her big brother, even if it means talking all day about crocodiles and sharks.
