FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail/formal attire. Suits, cocktail dresses, and dressy jumpsuits are welcome, as are tuxedos and long dresses.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have carefully planned our guest list to accommodate close family and friends. If your invitation includes the name of a specific guest, we kindly ask that you bring only that person. If no additional name is mentioned, we regretfully cannot accommodate extra guests due to space limitations.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only affair. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Will there be accommodations for out of town guests?

Answer

We have hotel room blocks at both One11 Hotel in the French Quarter and the Cambria in the Warehouse District. Block rooms are available to book up until one month before the wedding. Please see the Travel section for additional information on booking.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to the ceremony for guests staying at One11 Hotel. Guests at the Cambria will need to find their own transportation. We recommend Uber or Lyft.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is not available at the venue, but self-pay public parking is available at 400 St. Peter on the left before the streetcar tracks. It runs in between the river and the venue, however it can fill up quickly. We recommend taking Uber or Lyft to the event due to the parking limitations.

Question

How do I RSVP for the wedding?

Answer

To RSVP, please visit the RSVP page on our wedding website. You will find a form where you can enter your details and let us know if you'll be able to join us on our special day.

Question

I’m at the wedding and can’t find my place card. Where am I supposed to sit?

Answer

Unlike a more traditional seated reception, New Orleans wedding receptions are cocktail style, which means there is no assigned seating and you’re free to grab any open seat! New Orleans receptions are typically not seated dinners, but consist of passed hors d'oeuvres at the start of the reception, open action stations, and buffets. This allows for an emphasis on a variety of food options, lots of beverages, and a highly dynamic and social atmosphere that allows guests to move freely about the reception space. Seating is left open for guests to choose their own seats and tables. The bride and groom have their first dance near the beginning of their reception, opening the dance floor immediately for the guests' enjoyment.

Question

Do I need to take any precautions while I'm visiting New Orleans for the wedding?

Answer

While we are excited to celebrate our special day with you in New Orleans, we want to ensure your safety and well-being during your visit. Like any vibrant city, New Orleans has experienced an increase in crime, and we kindly ask all our guests to be cautious and aware of their surroundings while exploring the city. We recommend staying in well-traveled areas, avoiding unfamiliar neighborhoods, and taking necessary precautions to have a wonderful and secure experience in the Crescent City. If you'll have a car with you during your visit, we recommend not leaving any valuables inside, parking only in secure locations, and staying aware of your surroundings. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we look forward to sharing this joyous occasion with you.
