We would call it "festive dressy-casual". We encourage you to wear light clothing to stay cool and comfortable. Polos, summery dresses, and light fabrics are encouraged! We discourage suit jackets and heavy clothing for your own comfort. You are also encouraged to check out the attire section, linked above, for inspiration. Do you need an excuse to wear that really extra outfit you haven't found an occasion to wear yet? Need an excuse to shop for something new and fun? NOW IS THE TIME!
Outdoors, if the weather allows! Otherwise, indoors. So please dress appropriately for a hot, summer day-to-night. There are parts of the grounds that are stone and gravel, such as leading to the ceremony, but those are accessible. The gardens are not accessible. Inside, there is an accessible bathroom and a ramp that goes down to the dining area.
No, we do not have a registry.
We have made sure that there are options for people with various dietary restrictions, such as vegetarians, gluten free, and so on, and it is buffet style. So you can take as much or as little as you want of whatever you please, and more information about individual dishes can be provided.
Definitely ask us ahead of time! We are currently curating a playlist to give to the DJ, but he will not be taking requests the day of.
We will be continuing to be up-to-date on all our covid & flu vaccinations, and strongly encourage guests to do the same. Masks are optional. Keep in mind we do have immunocompromised guests attending, and we want to make sure everyone comes away with only great memories, and nothing else!
Yes.
We have a hotel blocked, so please check out the travel section of this site for more information.
Yes! The shuttle departs from the hotel at 2:45p arriving at 3:00p so you have time to settle in before the ceremony. The evening shuttle departs when the reception ends at 10pm.
Flash is not allowed while photography is in session, as per our photography contract, as it will interfere with the professional photos that will be taken. We also strongly suggest putting your phones away during the ceremony & speeches, and living in the moment, because we will be having an amazing photographer, videographer, and encouraging guests to use the polaroid & disposable cameras provided. We will have all media accessible to the guests afterwards.
The ceremony starts at 3:30pm sharp, so we recommend arriving at 3pm to schmooze with friends and family, take some fresh selfies, and grab the best seats. If you're arriving by shuttle, that is when you'll likely be arriving - details TBD.
Yes, but due to the liquor law, the strict timeline for serving of alcohol states that the bar must close at 9pm, so get your last call in before then (perhaps grab an extra drink for your seat!).
You can ask one of us individually to consider extending a plus one, but we are limited on space so we hope you can understand if we cannot accommodate as we are trying to keep it as intimate as possible.
We will be having a Welcome Dinner and Recovery Breakfast and everyone is welcome, so please check out the schedule page for more info and RSVP if you'd like to join. :)
Smoking is only allowed in the two designated smoking areas in the front of the barn. No smoking is allowed inside the reception area, main barn, stone dance floor or outdoor ceremony area. Smoking is allowed on the front porches only.
