Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Ariel Maggi-Byers and Keenan Goodwine
Here is a brief introduction (because there aren't enough words anyways) to all of the people who made our wedding possible. We are incredibly grateful to all of you, and so glad to share our day with you! We are lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. Each and every one of them has a special place in our hearts, so here are a few lines dedicated to each of you. Thank you!

Wynne Maggi

Mother of the Bride

From Ariel: Mom, you are the truest inspiration to me for what it means to be a good partner. You are the kindest person I know, and the best role model I could imagine. Thank you for everything you have done to make this wedding happen. I am so grateful for you.

Cathy Goodwine

Mother of the Groom

From Keenan: If you see a startlingly bright ray of light in the corner of your eye, don't worry, it's just my Mom. She will be gracing the wedding with her joyous spirit, and if that wasn't enough, we can all thank her for dealing with the many loud bands that have shaken her basement, as well as letting us use her backyard for our wedding.

Eric Goodwine

Father of the Groom

From Keenan: This is my Dad. He loves his sunglasses, vests, and occasional Stella Artois. He's been the most supportive person in my life, and will be hosting the wedding in my family's lovely back yard. If the grounds look very well taken care of, you can thank him for the incredible amount of work he's done!

Steve Byers

Father of the Bride

From Ariel: Dad, you and Mom have always shown me that the person you marry should be your true partner in every way. You are an inspiration, a true rockstar of a Dad. Thank you for being the kind of father who showed me that I could have anything I ever wanted, and for demonstrating both humility and wildness at the same time.

Minnow the Fluff

Flower Dog

Woof! Let's cross our fingers (if you're lucky enough to have them) that I can make it down the aisle without eating my flowers.

Jem the Floof

Ring Bearer

My true love is chicken (well, Minnow is a close second), and I'm glad my owners found theirs. I love Lord of the Rings. "One Ring to rule them all. ... One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them!"

Nate Maggi

Bearer of the Ring Bearer

Nate is truly a one of a kind kid, and the cousin of the bride. His kindness and sense of humor inspire us both, and though you no longer want to dance and sing for us publicly we know that that Nate the Great energy is still there. Thanks for bringing some of your awesomeness to our wedding and walking our rascally dog!

Nancy Smith

Officiant

Nancy is the godmother of the bride and we are so grateful that she is officiating our wedding! Nancy came and had dinner with us at our very first apartment, right after we moved in together. Nancy has been a part of my family for a very long time, and I am so happy that a lifelong friend is helping us take this next step.

Emma Maggi-Byers

Maid of Honor

I’ve been Ariels sister for all of 21 years now and I’ve got to say that nothing and no-one has ever made Ariel as happy as Keenan. She is her true and authentic self around him which is all I’ve ever wanted in a partner for my beautiful sister. I’m so happy to be apart of this wedding and gain a brother in Keenan. Come find me at the ceremony if you need tissues, I’ll be crying the whole time!

Julia Debell

Maid of Honor

Ariel and I have been best friends since kindergarten. While a lot has changed in those 18 years, I count myself lucky that the support, care, and love that defines our friendship is not one of those things. Thank you, Ariel AND Keenan, for including me on this special day and also for still letting me have sleepovers on your couch from time-to-time. Can't wait for this wedding!

Jenny Lubang

Bridesmaid

My friendship with Ariel all began on a 10 hour road trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma. By the end of our trip, I knew I had a lifelong friend! I feel like Ariel has seen me at my best, my worst, and everything in between and has always been able to give me some much needed perspective, love, and silliness. I feel so fortunate to be a part of Ariel and Keenan’s day! I am so excited to celebrate them!

Maris Westrum

Bridesmaid

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ariel for 21 years. Through laughter and tears, using exercise balls to play sumo wrestler in the basement, and singing terribly in school choir, we have experienced it all. She is the closest thing I have to a sister and I am so touched I get to be included in her big day. Congratulations and blessings to Ariel and her dearest Keenan. I can’t think of anyone who deserves happiness more. Love you two!

Maryn Maggi

Bridesmaid

I am Ariel's cousin and always looked up to her when I was younger, and I still do now! I am very lucky to have such an amazing cousin, role model, and friend! Thank you, Ariel and Keenan, for having me be a part of your wedding! Love you both!

Hannah Finch

Bridesmaid

When I moved to Colorado in 2014, I was most excited for mountains. Little did I know, I was about to discover something even better: a whole new side of my family! While our blood relations are distant, the feeling of love and family couldn’t be closer. Ariel and I quickly bonded over our passion for adventure, coffee, exploring, and obscure jokes about “Welcome to Night Vale.” I’m thankful that we’ve had each other to navigate life with and can’t wait to see this new chapter blossom! Finding “your person” is such a magical thing, I’m so happy for you both! Cheers to many more adventures!

Drew Goodwine

Best Man

My name’s Drew Goodwine. No, it’s not a coincidence - I’m the older kin of Keenan. I met Ariel at a summer camp put on through the Unitarian church, an event Keenan attended as well. I’m looking forward to the wedding and seeing their bright futures unfold!

Noah Khorey

Groomsman

I met Keenan when I first moved to Denver and we’ve been making music together ever since. It’s crazy how time flies - in the blink of an eye its felt like forever since we first started playing shows and becoming close friends. As much as we are as silly as possible most of the time we spend together, we are also always working towards common goals and chasing our dreams. That makes everyday one worth striving for.

Jaxon Stunden

Groomsman

Keenan and I met at CU Denver in the fall of 2017. Like a normal freshman, I couldn’t find where my class was. But here Keenan comes, angelic light surrounding him and Gabriel’s trumpet playing in the background, asking “Do you need help finding your class?” After my eyes adjusting to his blinding holy light, it turned out we had the same class, where I got to watch Keenan perform. I knew from that moment I needed this dude around, so I plopped myself right next to him and didn’t leave him alone until I got him to agree to try out for my band Colony Collapse. He was my first friend I made after moving to Denver, and since then has shaped my life and future.

Dave Shimenko

Groomsman

It was 2017 when I moved to Denver and my friend Jaxon kept telling me how I had to meet “our new guitarist that can somehow play whatever I send him”. I still remember the first few times we ever hung out and it was just immediate friendship between all of us. We spent multiple nights together just playing video games, and listening to music till 3am, getting to know each other. It’s hard to believe sometimes that that moment in time was only three years ago. Anyway wild that he’s all grown up and engaged now huh? CONGRATS

Mason Kolodziej

Groomsman

“I met Keenan when the planets aligned and the universe granted us the greatest guitarist/friend/manager to ever walk the face of the earth. And he plays a mean trumpet.”
