About 20 minutes from our farm, Main Street in Hudson boasts many specialty restaurants and shops, like New City Microcreamery, Rail Trail Flatbread Co, and Mullahy's Cheese Shop. One of those mentioned also has a hidden speakeasy on the bottom floor; I'll let you figure out which one it is.
If you need a calm, beautiful place for a break, or somewhere to let kids run around, there's a beautiful lake park with trails 5 minutes from our farm. Look for the sign that says "Minute Man Park".
With a great Saturday morning Farmer's Market, one of the best vintage stores in the basement, an amazing locally sourced restaurant and bakery, and a plant store to turn heads, Crompton Place is a must-browse spot for anyone visiting the area.
In a beautiful area next to the Harbor, this is a great place for shopping and dining.
When I very first visited Jose in Massachusetts, I told him I wanted to see Boston Harbor. So, we drove to the closest point, the southernmost tip of the harbor. We later went back to that spot, not for the harbor, but to visit this amazing distillery. With a variety of different products, made in a beautiful historic building, we highly suggest it for any lovers of spirits.
A little over an hour from our farm, this trek is definitely worth it. The Cliff Walk, where Jose proposed, is a beautiful 3+ mile walk along the ocean. It's in Newport, a classic New England seaside town. It's bordered by antique mansions that were built by families like the Rockefellers, but that are now owned by a historic society, which provides tours of these homes all year round. There's even a lighthouse!
