Jose and Ariel met in their freshman year math class. She was the teacher's pet, and he thought she was pretty cute. When the professor suggested that the class exchange numbers with others for homework help, if needed, he asked for her number. He was in the fraternity she hung out with, was handsome, and seemed nice. After he'd texted her a few times about homework, she tricked him into asking her out. From that point, Ariel and Jose have met everything life has thrown their way as partners, as the co-heroes in each other's stories.

Through graduating college; moving for work, graduate school, and new jobs; and finally putting down roots far from home in Massachusetts and starting their own farm and careers, Ariel and Jose have had the fortune of meeting each challenge and enjoying each victory together. It was a long road, but neither would have traded a second of it.

Jose completely surprised her - Ariel basically had a stroke. His sister, Stephanie, was in on it (she was visiting for summer vacation), so there's an unflattering video of Ariel happy crying for like 7 minutes. He proposed on a rock jutting out into the ocean off of the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI. He'd had the spot picked out since their last trip there, as he knew it was her favorite. They'd been dating for 8.5 years, and she hoped he'd propose soon, but had no idea. "Ariel, the past 8 years with you have been the best of my life, and I want to continue living the best life I can with you. Will you be my wife?" She said yes, collapsing on him in a gush of happy tears, not even letting him put the ring on in her need to hug and be held by him. They take the next step in their story, at their farm and surrounded by family and friends, on October 13th of 2019... We're excited to see you there.
