Aric and Emily were both living in downtown Grand Rapids (MI) for an entire year before their lives crossed paths. Emily moved from the East side of Michigan to start a new job in Rental Property Management, and Aric moved from Milwaukee (WI) to start School at Cooley Law. After Aric completed his first year of Law school (and swearing he'd “never have a girlfriend during his law school career to avoid distraction”) they met the modern way in the Summer of 2018: by swiping right on Bumble (swoon!) After a few dates, on Independence Day (7-4-2018), they made things official and have been together ever since. Since then, Aric finished law school and passed the bar to become a Lawyer. He’s currently practicing as a 3rd-year associate at Willis Law Firm in Kalamazoo. Emily became a Michigan Realtor, brokered by Bellabay Realty. She enjoys helping clients achieve their real estate goals and has been serving the Greater Grand Rapids area for the last 4 years. A few of Emily and Aric’s favorite memories from their time together: Attending many concerts and shows (Electric Forest!), traveling with family, skydiving, and lots of trips to the lakeshore. They bought their first home together in 2021. Not long after they adopted their curly girl, Lily the Labradoodle, and recently added to the family, their mini Goldendoodle, named Luca.
