Mother of the Bride
Carmen Julia -- Kate's twin. Carmen Julia will never say "no" to absolutely anything that includes making her children and her niece happy. An avid board creator on Pinterest, she has been Pinteresting about this wedding since the day Miguel and Kate got engaged. If she could, she would've DIY absolutely everything for this wedding using her Pinterst pins.
Mother of the Groom
Milla shares a special bond with Miguel Juan, always laughing at the same jokes. Whether it’s a game of charades or cracking up over The Pink Panther hamburger scene, Milla’s warmth and humor are two of her many wonderful qualities.
Father of the Bride
Captain Maco Fleming - the captain of the Fleming Maestre ship - who has taught Kate, and now Miguel, how to love anything related to boating -- especially the part where you put your feet on top of la neverita with a "palito" in hand. As Maco would say, on the wedding night, and any other night worth cherishing: "coño, por lo menos vean el sunset!". Catch Maco commanding the dance floor with his killer disco moves!
Father of the Groom
If you close your eyes and listen to Miguel and Miguel Juan talk, you’d be hard-pressed to tell them apart — and that’s just one of the many ways they’re alike. Both share a passion for golf and love for a great party, especially if there’s a microphone handy for some Luis Miguel.
Brother of the Bride
Sander is Kate’s baby brother. When Kate found out she was going to be a big sister, she thought she was getting her own baby. When Sander was born, she wouldn’t let anyone come near him, as she wanted to carry for him herself… at 2 years old.
Sister of the Groom
Lau is Miguel Juan’s best friend, confidant, and biggest supporter. They’re practically two peas in a pod, except when it comes to their sandwich preferences — a fact well-documented on their shared blog, @panaderiaspr (follow them on Insta!). With her bubbly personality and contagious fun, Laura lights up any room she enters.
Junior Bridesmaid
Victoria is Kate’s baby cousin — even though she’s already a teenager! Miguel Juan and Victoria got along from the first time they met. Even before Miguel and Kate had the conversation of “what are we”, Victoria asked Kate (in front of her whole family) “Kate, is Miguel your BOYFRIEND?!” Kate froze. And Miguel came to the rescue and said “yes, I think I am”. Victoria seemed to like this answer and they’ve been close ever since.
Flower Girl
She’s been stealing hearts (and snacks) since day one — especially titi Kate’s, who is definitely winning the favorite titi/tio competition (if you can call it that) no matter what tio Juanki says. As our flower girl, Victoria will be leading the way with all the charm, confidence, and glitter you'd expect from a girl who’s been spoiled by all since minute one.
Ring Bearer
James Thomas Wahl, First of His Name, King of the Davie Flats, Commander of the Choo Choo Trains, and Ring Bearer Supreme. Feared by dragons, beloved by titi Kate and tio Miguel Juan. His tios cross kingdoms (and time zones) twice a year to be graced with his presence. All hail our tiny hero, carrying the rings and stealing the show.
Maid of Honor
Andrea is Kate's best friend since third grade. They have been together through it all and share the same love (*cough* obsession *cough* for Taylor Swift). Now an IRS manager by day, but by night, she’s Kate’s personal stylist — from the proposal outfit (a white shirt by accident, no less!) to every other fashion choice that’s ever mattered.
Best Man
From traveling with their families across Europe to carrying Miguel’s sister Laura out of Pachá in Ibiza (her feet definitely hurt), Jaime has proven he’s always there when it counts. Which is why it’s no surprise he’ll be right there again—this time with a drink in hand, questionable dance moves, and zero regard for the DJ’s setlist.
Maid of Honor
Serving as Maid of Honor as payment for when Kate saved her life in sixth grade (it's a long story... lol life). Sabrina, as a viral Vine content creator (before content creators were a thing), she's our celebrity guest. From jumping into la Laguna in senior year to doing it all over again in Fort Myers without a stairway out of the lagoon -- they are a force to be reckoned with... and the wedding will be no exception.
Best Man
Miguel’s older cousin, though they sometimes rotate who’s “older” between the two depending on the circumstances. You’ll find him on the dance floor all night with his better half and fiancée, Nati — unless cigars are calling his name, of course (see pic for reference).
Bridesmaid
Mo & Kate are basically sisters — from daily school runs in Emi's minivan (no antlers, iykyk) to their epic last caravana. Monica is the accountant of the group and keeps everyone in check!!
Groomsman
Pro volleyball player, Miguel’s cousin, and Victoria’s second-favorite tío (after Titi Kate, obviously). Juanki can dominate any sport and also has a suspicious track record of bouquet theft, so stay sharp at the toss, ladies. This guy plays to win.
Bridesmaid
Still in Kate's phone as "Anita Little Sister" (even if they’re the same age half the year). Kate and Ana played Sims all through elementary school and created the lives of each other over and over and over again -- they've also been planning each other's weddings since before they can remember!
Groomsman
A golf ball’s worst nightmare, Antonio is Miguel’s golfing partner at Piringa La Ganga. He keeps Miguel sharp on the course — mostly so they can justify that well-earned beer at the 19th hole.
Bridesmaid
Vicky and Kate are part of #ElCata -- iykyk... which makes them experts in bushwalkers and how to get the absolute best tan. Vicky is also part of the board of Cuentos Con Copas, the book club that Kate created and Vicky helps run just for the love of books... and wine <3
Groomsman
Best buds, Miguel and Jose's bond has been cemented with endless Monty Python quotes and inside jokes. Hope you get a glimpse of alter-egos Pichi and Junior having a moment at some point of the night.
Bridesmaid
Claudia, or how Kate calls her, Clauki is el alma de la fiesta. Basically the mayor of every town she’s ever moved to, especially Caguas, she is sure to become everyone’s friend at Kate & Miguel’s wedding. She’s always the last one to leave because she’s too busy dancing to old school reggaeton.
Groomsman
Leading their team to victory in 2024, Dr. Willy J is the head coach of the legendary PastramiPapis fantasy football team, while Miguel holds it down as Defensive Coordinator. Miguel and Kate are beyond pumped to have Willy and his better half, Nati, moving back to Puerto Rico.
Bridesmaid
Thali & Kate know each other since the third week of college. While they both spoke Spanish as their first language, they first had to communicate in English as they couldn’t understand each other’s accent — now however, they have developed their own new language that many outsiders will not understand.
Groomsman
Seba — the mastermind behind Spring Fling 2016 and proud wearer of a giant Mexican hat — has a long history of turning good parties into legendary ones. He’ll be bringing those same crowd-rallying skills to the wedding, so consider yourselves warned.
Groomsman
José is Miguel’s oldest friend and the mastermind behind many steak-fueled, negroni-filled nights. He’ll be bringing that same energy (and probably some mischief) to the wedding, Enrico Palazzo style.
Groomsman
Notre Dame partner in crime and pineapple bottle opener pro, Andy is Miguel’s go-to for fun and good times — including the time he clung to a pole in the ocean rather than let go of a moving boat. Smart, hilarious, and always the life of the party.
Groomsman
Señor Stoli, Miguel’s Fighting Irish brother-in-arms and lobster-fishing wingman. Miguel and Nic once saved Andy Cas from becoming shark ceviche in the Keys, so we literally owe him a life. He’s basically El Gallo de Dorado… if El Gallo didn’t box professionally and only visited on long weekends, Christmas and for Miguel & Kate’s wedding.
