After some long, thoughtful conversations (full of tears), Josh and I have decided to postpone our wedding. Our new date is August 1, 2020. We know that this is the right decision in order to keep our family and guests safe and healthy. We will be sending out another correspondence to our guests over the next coming weeks for you to RSVP for the new date. We hope you all realize the severity of the world's current situation and are taking necessary precautions to stay healthy. We are excited and looking forward to the celebration on August 1st!!!

As you all probably know, Arianna and I have been together for 5 years and she is constantly trying to predict her birthday presents, Christmas gifts, etc. I knew I had to do something special to surprise her for our proposal! After asking her dad's permission, I had to find the perfect time to pop the question. I knew she would expect me to propose when we were around our families during our annual July 4th beach vacation. We planned a quick getaway to Key West to celebrate the completion of her first year of grad school in May. I thought this would be the perfect time to propose and after finishing her exams, I knew she wouldn't suspect a thing. The week of the trip, Arianna was busy studying for her finals and started feeling pretty sick. Long story short, she had the flu, but she got some medicine and masks and was ready to go. She was so ready for a vacation that her sickness wouldn't keep her away from the beach. Luckily the medicine started to kick in and she was feeling much better when we arrived in Key West. We planned a sunset cruise that I was hoping would provide the perfect setting for a proposal...it didn't disappoint. We boarded the catamaran about an hour before sunset and started cruising around the island. As the sun started to go down, the more nervous I got. I went down below deck, so that I could pull the ring out of a small envelope that I had stuck in my wallet. On my way back up, I stopped by the bar and ordered 10 shots of tequila. The captain laughed at me and I settled for a beer. I went back up on deck and asked a nice, unsuspecting couple if they would take our picture in front of the sunset. We posed for the picture and I got down on one knee. With a death grip on the ring, I took her hand and asked her if she would marry me. She quickly responded with "are you kidding?". Once I saw the tears in her eyes, I knew I had truly surprised her. It was an incredibly beautiful moment and one we will never forget.
