Things To Do

If you’re coming in from out of town (or just looking to make a weekend of it), there’s plenty to explore nearby. Whatever you decide to do, we hope you have a great time exploring. Just do us a favor—show up to the wedding in one piece, and maybe wear a little sunscreen. These pictures are going to last a long time!

Plymouth

Plymouth, MA

For the history buffs: Plymouth’s got some classics—Plimoth Patuxet Museums, Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II, and Burial Hill, a cemetery from the 1600s. It’s all walkable and a nice way to soak in some early American history. If you’d rather be outside: You can take a stroll through Brewster Gardens, hang out at Plymouth Beach or Long Beach, or just enjoy the ocean views and salty air.

Boston

Boston, MA

Thinking about a Boston trip? It’s about a 45-minute to 1-hour drive, or you can take the T (train) from the Hyannis stop to South Station. Once you’re there, you’ve got options—Fenway for a Sox game, lunch at Faneuil Hall, Italian food in the North End, a walk along the Freedom Trail, shopping on Newbury Street, feeding the squirrels at Boston Common, or catching a sunset down at the Seaport.

Cape Cod

MA

More of a Cape Cod person? You can explore Mashpee or Falmouth, take a ferry to Provincetown, go whale watching, or hop on a sunset cruise. If you're feeling active, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is a great option for biking or walking through scenic towns and nature. There’s no shortage of good food and beautiful views.
