Trans Student Educational Resources is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender non-conforming students through advocacy and empowerment. TSER was founded in 2011 by Johanna's cousin Eli Erlick, it is the only national organization led by trans youth.

Families for Justice as Healing is a Boston-based organization led by incarcerated women, formerly incarcerated women, and women with incarcerated loved ones. Their mission is to end the incarceration of women and girls. In 2017, one of Johanna's life-long friends was incarcerated. Erin often talked to Johanna and Ari about the trauma she faced while incarcerated, and tragically took her own life a year after her release from prison. We would appreciate any donations to Families for Justice as Healing be made in Erin Simmons' memory.

Zakat, Aid and Charity Assisting Humanity (ZACAH) is a Minnesota-based, grassroots organization dedicated to the collection and re-distribution of wealth within the Minnesota community. ZACAH strives to support the multiracial working-class of Minnesota, especially those facing poverty, the threat of eviction and displacement, and unsheltered homelessness. Ari grew up in Minnesota and has always been passionate about giving back to the community that raised him. Johanna went to college in Minnesota and lived with Ari in St. Paul for several years before moving to Boston. Minnesota is a special place to us and we hope you'll consider supporting ZACAH!
