Flight

Scotland or England

There are a few options available for flights. Fly directly to Scotland, either Edinburgh (EDI) or Aberdeen (ABZ) and explore the magic of Scotland before the wedding. Or you can opt to fly into London (LHR) and do some exploring of the city before you catch a train or plane up to Scotland. The venue is about a 2 hour drive from Edinburgh and a 40 minute drive from Aberdeen, via a car. However you journey to Scotland, we recommend renting a car to get to the venue. Just remember, they drive on the left side of the road! If you'd rather not drive, please refer to the section below on trains.

Train

If you have decided not to rent a car, there are trains that run from Edinburgh Waverley Station (EDB) or from Aberdeen Station (ABD). We would recommend getting off at the Stonehaven (STN) station, which is on the Edinburgh/Aberdeen line (purple line on the routes map). There are plenty of taxis near this stop, and the castle is only a 25 minute drive from the station.

Hotel

Drumtochty Castle

Don't worry about trying to find a hotel because everyone can stay on property! Guests book and pay for their accommodation directly with the bride & groom. The castle is unable to take bookings or payment for accommodation directly. So once everyone has RSVP'd, we will work on assigning rooms that best suit the needs of the guests/groups and will let you know how to send your money for the booking. Please provide an email address and a phone number on your RSVP, as we will be using them to contact everyone with more detailed information leading up to the festivities.
