Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

June is normally one of the warmest months in Scotland, with average maximum temperatures ranging from approximately 59-63 °F. Scotland's high latitude means that we will get to enjoy lovely, long summer days and sunset closer to 10:00 pm. There is always a chance of rain though, so make sure to bring a jacket/layers and appropriate clothing.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There is enough lodging for everyone to stay on property! We will be assigning rooms for all our guests, so all you'll need to do is check in upon arrival. Guests book and pay for their accommodation directly with us; the castle is unable to take bookings or payment for accommodation directly.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

There is ample parking throughout the estate if you have rental cars that you are taking to the venue.

Question

When can I arrive to the venue?

Answer

Everyone will be able to check in at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 10th. Check out will be at 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 12th.

Question

Is food included in the stay?

Answer

We will be having a welcome dinner for all guests the night before the wedding. There will also be a full Scottish breakfast provided both the morning of the wedding, as well as the morning after. Coffee, tea, and water will also be available in the main castle for the duration of your stay.

Question

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Please kindly let us know on your RSVP so that we make sure you are accommodated.

Question

What's the suggested attire for the wedding?

Answer

This event is black-tie optional. Men are welcome to wear either a tuxedo or can opt for a nice suit. Women can choose either a floor-length evening gown or a dressy pant suit.

Question

What color are your bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

Our bridesmaids will be wearing black dresses, and our groomsmen will be in tuxes.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes; if not, we would prefer if it were just you.
