If you'd like to go into Washington DC using the Metro system, the closest train station is going to be at the Shady Grove Metro Station, which is approximately 3 miles, or a 10 minute drive, from the Courtyard by Marriott where we have our hotel block. The Shady Grove Metro Station is at the top of the red line. For non-locals, please be aware it can be upwards of 35-40 minutes to travel from Shady Grove Metro Station to Metro Center, which is the first available stop along the red line to change train lines. The venue is in a more rural area and not located specifically nearby hotels/attractions, so for guest convenience we chose accommodations that offer a centralized location to restaurants and shops, and is nearby to the Welcome Party. We are also providing a shuttle that travels to and from the Wedding Ceremony/Reception for guests staying within this area. Our reserved hotel block is at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Rio Washingtonian Center. The button below will allow you to book directly with our reserved block.
