All invitations are addressed to the specific individuals invited. If you were not provided a second invitation addressed to your desired plus one, then unfortunately, we are requesting you do not bring additional guests.
As much as we love your kids, we want our event to be a space where the adults can relax and enjoy without the added stress of supervising their little ones. We know it can be hard, but we'd love to keep the event 21+. Thanks so much for your flexibility!
Garden Party Attire: Dress in your best outdoor-friendly semi formal attire. For our heel-loving individuals, this might mean saving your shoes and your sanity by passing up on an evening full of tip toeing around to avoid sinking into the ground :) The average day time temperature in Maryland is fairly comfortable, however, evenings can get chilly; a jacket is recommended. Please be attentive to the weather forecasts in this area and plan accordingly.
Your official invitation will arrive in the mail around July/August and will specify the RSVP deadline. If you do not respond by the deadline, we will send a reminder text to request your response.
We have reserved a hotel block at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Rio Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg MD. We are encouraging guests to stay at this hotel because of its centralized location to shops, restaurants, and other things to do. To book at either of these hotels, use the "Travel" tab on our website and scroll until you locate the information on Hotels/Accommodations.
We are asking that all guest arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time, so that all guests can be appropriately seated before the wedding party processional.
Parking will be available in a fenced grass lot on the property.
Yes! We are thrilled to offer Shuttle transportation to and from the Hotels to the Ceremony/ Reception. We will provide specific information regarding Shuttle Location, and Departure times closer to the event date.
The Reception Dinner will be buffet style selection of BBQ meats and sides. You can expect a Beef and Chicken option, as well as typically associated sides of vegetables, mac and cheese, and potatoes.
Yes! We are already aware of some individuals that have dietary restrictions, therefore we have worked hard with our Caterer to ensure that there are different options. As an alternative to Meat Entree's there will be a Salmon option for those who request this with their RSVP. Additionally, we were sure to select a variety of side dishes, some of which include non-dairy options. If you have a more specific restriction or allergy, we ask that you reach out directly to us as soon as possible so that we can prepare accordingly.
There is not a scheduled "After Party," however, the Wedding Party will be camping overnight on the property and will likely continue the Bonfire well past the Reception's ending time. The shuttles will not run later than the Receptions end, so if you would like to stay and continue enjoying the Bonfire, you will be responsible for ensuring your sobriety to drive and/or ordering an Uber/Lyft at your own expense back to your accommodations.
Yes! We have a wedding registry through Zola (our wedding website). We were able to connect any desired items not available through Zola directly to this registry, so if you go to purchase an item and it takes you to an external website, that's likely the correct place to purchase! If you choose to buy an item from this registry, as non-Maryland residents, we'd love if you chose the option of directly shipping the item to our home in Washington. Unless we are told directly otherwise, we will wait to open all received packages until after the actual wedding date.
