Question

Getting to the wedding venue

Answer

Ceremony will start at 4pm. There are a few options for how to find your way to windy point campground: 1. You are welcome to drive and park your car at our campsite as there is plenty of parking. If you don't plan to drive home after the reception, you can leave your car at the campsite overnight! The cars will be safe there for the night, but you would need to pick up your car by 11 am the next day. We'd recommend not leaving open food or containers in your car overnight, as we are technically in bear territory. 2. Get an Uber/Lyft or use a local taxi company Local Taxi Companies: All Seasons Transportation - Greeley - (970) 515-8181

Question

Getting home for the Night

Answer

We will have 14 seater passenger vans taking people back to their homes for the night. At 9:00pm we have the first van arriving and 3 more vans arriving at 10pm. They will take multiple trips to get everyone home. We don't have a timeline for when we have to leave the venue, so we have shuttles booked to work with us until midnight.

Question

"Hike" to the ceremony site

Answer

This is super short! It's a 3 minute walk along a trail with a slight incline at the start and then levels out. There will be a few folks ready to help individuals get up the hill as needed. Recommended shoes are sturdy shoes (nice boots, cowgirl/cowboy boots, block heels, would all do fine on this trail!)

Question

What's the altitude at Windy Point Campground?

Answer

Windy Point Campgrounds altitude is 9000 feet exactly. If you are coming in from out of town be sure you hydrate days before the wedding and especially once you arrive. P.S. 1 drink at altitude = 2 drinks at sea level

Question

How do we get from the ceremony site to the reception?

Answer

The ceremony site is just a 5 minute walk to the reception area! We will have two cars available to transfer folks who need assistance getting from the ceremony site to the reception area!

Question

What's the weather like in Dillon?

Answer

Because Dillon is in the mountains, it can be nice and warm during the day and then drop down at night and get chilly. With the altitude, if it's sunny and 65 it will feel much warmer! Right now the weather is saying it'll be around 65-70 during the day, and drop down to 45-50s at night. We will have a heated tent to help keep folks warm but encourage folks to bring an additional layer for later in the evening.

Question

Friday Afternoon Plans

Answer

We reserved 5 pontoon boats from the Frisco marina from 3pm-5pm. Some family and friends have already taken up spots on these boats, but if we need more space they offer walk up reservations to get additional boats. We'd love to have whoever would like to join!

For all the days along the way
